April 24th ~ 327 days in foal

Mari is shaping up more normally than she has in the past; I am happy about that because it is telling me she is more balanced.  Even if it means I’ve missed about a week of sleep!!  Her udders are the biggest they have ever been, so still can be any time now.  Leza will most likely foal tonight so we may have a double header – that would be very cool!

Mari foaled exactly three weeks early last year with Troy and she has the biggest udders right now of all the mares.  They still get soft during the day but are getting fuller overnight each day.  If she goes three weeks early again, that will put her two days before Lezas’ due date…on the 20th.  I hope she keeps that baby that long and not try to foal any earlier.  She is getting bigger by the day…!!

Mari foaled three weeks early with Troy last year.  This would put her due April 20th, right before Leza.  Mari is already getting shape to her udders after she is in all night.
